Graduate Researcher – £23-27K
This company is looking for recent graduates and postgraduates who would like to use their research and analytical skills within a rewarding environment. This role is perfect for someone who wants to work on meaningful research projects on behalf of organisations in sectors such as education, housing and criminal justice sectors. The results of your research projects could influence policy change and improve social outcomes.
You will be working on a variety of projects for different clients, which will involve qualitative and quantitative research, conducting data analysis and writing reports. These projects will be focused on social and community effects and will include interviewing a variety of individuals to understand social issues.
This opportunity is open to someone who can start between now and July 2022.
Core responsibilities include:
Conducting in-depth primary and secondary research
Conducting case reviews
Qualitative and quantitative data analysis
Helping to define new data collection methods
Writing reports and communicating findings to different clients and audiences
A 2:1 (or equivalent) in a social science subject which has included both qualitative and quantitative research e.g. psychology, criminology, sociology, human geography, anthropology, research methods or related
A post-graduate degree would be beneficial or a significant primary research project as part of your undergraduate degree
Exposure to both qualitative and quantitative research
The ability to work independently as part of a small team
Any experience working in a research capacity would be a bonus
Experience using Excel, R or SPSS would be beneficial, however full training will be provided
